Innovation and Recommended Techniques For Product Designers To Conceptualize Ideas

Innovation is what drives product designers to infuse creativity in the new product development process. This is important because there are thousands of other products in the market. If you cannot design product that innovate, then you might as well expect them to rot in the shelf without anyone daring to pay for them. As a product designer and manufacturer, you are aiming to grow your profits and so it is vital to implement creative techniques in the process of conceptualizing product ideas.

Brainstorming is the simplest and most common form of idea conception. This is performed by sharing of ideas and what other ideas that can be generated from it. However, brainstorming is limited only within a limited group, such as 3 to 6 people. Ideally, it should be a relaxed environment such that everyone is able to share whatever ideas that come to mind and anyone is free to provide their feedback. There should be someone who is designated to take note of all ideas and points raised during the brainstorming session for final evaluation later.

Another notable technique that product designers can use for coming up with ideas for a new product is called SCAMPER. It is an acronym that stands for Substitute, Combine, Adapt, Modify, Put to other use, Eliminate, Reverse/Reorder. This technique therefore follows a step by step process wherein the initial idea is thoroughly evaluated to ensure its validity and value before moving onto the next phase in product development.

A proven method for generating product ideas is to conduct a research. Look at existing designs and evaluate what makes them valuable as a product. Also, examine them closely to assess what their flaws or faults are and how you can offer improvement to them. This is one way for your product to excel even if you might already have similar products in the market. But instead of trying to simply outdo your competitors, use this opportunity as a learning acceleration so you can set a new standard in the specific niche in your new product development process.

The Concept Fan technique is one more method that you can use for designing products that is sure to bring in applicable concepts. It works by taking out ideas and then evaluating them in a greater scope by looking at it in the finest detail. A designer must formulate a hierarchical tree where in the general concept branches out to even smaller concepts and make it easier for you to examine the idea further. You can also take advantage of this method to come up with smaller but newer ideas to build up on.

For a more functional approach, you can use problem decomposition. The goal is to break down problems into manageable chunks and explore how you can leverage them to produce new product ideas. Explore all these concepts individually and then recombine them so you can have a more potent product concept in hand.

Indeed, there are a number of techniques that you can use when you design product for the market. But the most critical step is to organize and filter those ideas to determine what is most practical to implement for your business. Ideas is just the start and you need to spend as much time to evaluate each of them according to the needs of the intended user.

The Major Advantages of Pursuing and Reasons to Pursue a Joint Venture

A joint venture in affiliate and online marketing terms refers to two or more specialists coming together and pooling their resources to create a better product or to better market and sell a product.
When you're looking for partners to enter a joint venture with, you should first reach out to other webmasters in your niche. Take a look at other websites in your niche and contact their webmasters, letting them know what kind of joint venture you want to pursue whether that's getting them to help you design your product or just swapping lists.

You simply make a post detailing the kind of joint venture you're interested in pursuing while mentioning your niche, your role, and the role which you are looking a partner to fill. Then you just check back for responses.

Exercise your due diligence and do what you can to check up on anyone who replies positively to your post. Get them on the phone to work out the details versus over email. Make sure you have immediate access to them whenever you need them. Check out their profile on the forum, as well. Ideally it's been filled out with links to their websites, they've been on that forum for awhile now, and they've accrued a sizable number of posts so that you know it's not someone who just signed up to reply to your ad.

Joint Ventures Advantages

Let's go over the major advantages of pursuing and reasons to pursue a joint venture:
  • You can find someone to create your product for you from scratch, meaning you would just have to handle the marketing. If you've got an idea and access to someone who can execute on it, you can handle the marketing once it's complete.
  • Conversely, you can find an expert marketer to market your product for you if you're strictly sticking to the product creation and don't have a great deal of experience in marketing.
  • If you have a great idea which you can execute on but you just need some start up capital, you can get partners on a purely investment level.
  • You can find someone who is well versed in creating very attractive landing/sales pages specifically. I know of a couple of merchants who are extremely skilled at creating professional looking sales pages which helps to give a product a lot more credibility which really helps with conversions.
  • You can team up with another webmaster in your niche who has a sizeable email list of their own, pooling your list with theirs if you have one to make one massive mailing to potentially thousands of targeted subscribers.
  • You can get access to another marketer's affiliate base. Very helpful if you're just starting out and are in need of skillful affiliates to promote your product who can all be trusted and who have proven their value in promoting that other marketer's products in the past.
  • It gives you a second pair of eyes for quality assurance from someone who is also tied to the project, making the overall product stronger as two heads are better than one.

The Rules You Must Keep When Creating Funnel Product Line

Creating a marketing sales funnel product line is requires research, planning and a definite execution strategy. The flow of products in the marketing sales funnel should solve an initial problem first and then suggest more products to solve or improve other problems the customer may have. Many of today's major marketing funnels used online will suggest products that previous customers have also bought.

MIS - Make It Specific:

Products created for a sales funnel should be consistently relevant to one another. Depending on your niche create solution based products that tell a story. The structure of a marketing funnel consists of an entry-level product followed by higher price product or service. The customers experience during the sales funnel process will increase as the customer is presented with more relevant products before they finally check out. The congruence of product development is of the utmost importance for great sales funnel success.

SBP - Solution Based Product:

Creating solution based products and services for a marketing sales funnel are vital for its success. The best advice to receive when creating solution based products is to create products or offer services that you know how to do well. Copycat product creation without testing or results and relying on the social status of others is setting your marketing funnel up for a short life span. Due to online business having a bad reputation in certain niches customers are looking for integrity without the hype. They simply want to know can they trust you, will it work for them and is it easy to use.

UPR - Unique Product Result:

Products are purchased for the simple reason of the need to achieve a desirable result. As a business owner you want people to use your products to help them achieve results in an ethical way. The unique product result for each product in a marketing sales funnel should be unique from the previous product that the customer has seen previously. For online businesses two areas of great interest is web traffic and lead generation. Before money is spent on both it is crucial you have proof and results of your product benefiting others through trials and testing.

Bonus

Market research online is essential before starting to create digital products. Why are there so many courses on SEO, product creation, video marketing, article marketing, web traffic and much more? In my own opinion the answer to this is people do not have a specific strategy in place with what they want to achieve. Setting goals is an overused cliche online, be very specific on the business you want to create, the clients you want to work with and the monetary exchange for your products and services. With these in mind focus on selling one product or service first and achieving results before creating anything else.

How a Flash Banner Can Generate Better CTR Than a Static Banner

Have you created a static banner that isn't quite working? Are you disappointed that your banner Ad is not generating as many clicks as you thought it would? Chances are your banner is in the 'banner blindness' zone or maybe it's unable to stand out in the crowd. Banner blindness refers to the situation where people simply behave as if the banner does not exist. It's an illusion of ignorance that a person develops in frequent internet browsing. They tend to ignore banners and just concentrate on what they came for UNLESS your banner is capable of attracting his attention- and keeping it there. Maybe it's time to opt for a flash banner that is guaranteed to attract and catch the reader's attention and interest.

A well planned and designed banner ad is capable of arresting the viewer's attention. Movement in a banner is easier to utilize for capturing attention than a stationary banner advertisement. This is the reason that flash banner ads work better at inviting clicks than the bland motionless banners. Flash technology may be effectively used to create a banner that is able to draw the reader's attention to its movement oriented design.

The reason that static banner ads do not work as much at attracting clicks is that they tend to blend into the background of the webpage and do not stand out as a different object. Websites which are children-oriented in their appeal especially need animated banner ads to get a child to click to see what happens. Cartoon characters and animation work very well in educational and games websites for children. The basic concept is consistent for all business domains though. As long as the flash banner ad is not too cluttered with content, it will invariably do its job of attracting a reader. And if you can hire a quality banner ad professional who can utilize his experience and understanding of your business to make the animation interesting and fun you have definitely got the viewer into the sales funnel.

Some valuable info on how you can make your Flash banner more effective:

a) Make it simple yet attractive. Simple animation would be easier to understand by your viewer.
b) Avoid using decorative fonts. The more the font is readable the better.
c) Use a strong Call to Action button or text at the end of the animation.

There is not hesitation saying that Flash technology delivered by Adobe has taken banner ads to the next level with its potential and appeal.

Decrease Your Ad Revenue with The New DFP Ad Tags (Google Publisher Tags)

What is DFP Ad ? DoubleClick's DART for Publishers (DFP) solution provides the scalability, reliability, and the critical tools to accelerate your digital ad operation.
After hearing all the exciting news and new features of the new DFP advertising tags (Google Publisher Tags), how could a publisher not implement them? After implementation of the asynchronous ad tags, the ads are supposed to load faster from single page request ad serving, you're supposed to be able to serve ads in emails and newsletters and DFP can serve passback ad tags that point back to DFP to choose the next ad.

That all sounds great, right? Well, we fell for it too. We implemented the new tags for several clients and encountered a few problems:

1. Ad Exchange CPM's Dropped:

The exact day we implemented the Google publisher tags, we saw about a large drop in CPM. The next day we saw close to 20% drops in CPM. Mind you, this was in Q4 when CPM's are supposed to consistently climb as we get closer to Christmas. This has happened every year in the past, the only difference here was the implementation of the new DFP tags.

2. Advertising Fill Coverage Dropped:

As soon as we implemented the Google publisher tags, we saw drops in ad impressions immediately. We compared this to the site's Analytics and saw no consistency. The traffic remained constant but the ad impressions dropped by an average of 10%. Therefore, the new DFP ad tags served a lower percentage of functional ads versus the old tags.

3. Non-existent Third Party Advertising Network Passback Capability:

Google claimed the new DFP ad tags enabled the capability to send passback ad tags to third party ad networks that would send any passback ad impression back to DFP to choose the next advertisement to show. This is a feature that DFP Premium has and is the optimal passback strategy for any publisher. However, this feature is non-existent for the Google publisher tags. Many DFP reps that we've dealt with have admitted this and said they will change the language about this feature.

Overall, the new DFP advertising tags have been a huge and expensive disappointment. We have reverted back to the old DFP advertising tags and are in the process with the other clients. We believe the drop in Ad Exchange CPM came from the fact that the new DFP advertising tags are iFrames. Expandable ads are not able to be served in iFrames without additional external code setup. Expandable ads go for high CPM's and the new DFP advertising tags aren't able to serve them properly which hit the Ad Exchange CPM's hard. The new iFrame ad tags could be the reason why the fill of functional ads dropped by an average of 10%. Expandable ads and certain rich media advertisements in third party ad networks weren't able to serve properly. The lack of a third party ad network capability was negligent communication on Google's part. It is important to ask your Google rep about these specific features first.

The Configurations of Ideal CPM Advertisement Placement

CPM advertising, also known as banner advertising, can be extremely lucrative, even when using ad networks, which provide the lowest CPM rates. However, if an ad is poorly placed, or if the site is not constructed with a consideration for advertising, you will see that your profits are not what they could be. This article will provide some fundamental steps and rules to provide you with the optimal banner advertising configuration for your online advertising revenues.

The most important concept is that of positioning, in this case, what is referred to as being "above the fold". The term comes from print media, specifically the newspaper industry, where the fold would be a newspaper bent in half, an ad visible on the top half of a folded newspaper would be considered above the fold. In the world of online advertising, the fold refers to what is visible on the screen on most normal monitor resolutions when the ad first loads, a quick search on the web will give you some statistics on what the normal resolution is for most of the population, but 1024x1256 is a good starting point.

Ads that are above the fold perform the best, so when planning a site or doing wire frames for a site, be sure to make room or IAB-standard spaces for banner ads. Current popular and well-used IAB-standard spaces are 728x90, 300x250, and 160x600.
One popular banner configuration that sites use is the "hockey stick," which consists of a 728x90 at the top of the site, and a 160x600 on either the left or right margin of the site. While it is ok for the 160x600 to go below the fold, the more of the ad that is visible above the fold, the better it is for your revenues.

The goal at the end of this process is to get more clicks on your ads, and to provide attractive ad spaces that advertisers are willing to pay top dollar for. Advertisers measure the response to their online banner ads in terms of clicks on the ads themselves, called yield. Yield is clicks divided by impressions, expressed as a percentage,
Example:

100 clicks / 1000 impressions = 10% yield.

More typical yields would be below 1%, anything above 1% for banner ads is considered extremely good. The exception to this are text ads, which tend to have higher clickthrough rates, but also tend to have different models of how the customer is charged.
Some studies have found that users are more likely to click on links and ad banners that are on the left side of their screen, as most people in Western countries read left to right. The best practice is to experiment with positioning (left vs. right) and integration around content to find out the combination that brings in the most revenue for your site design.

Make Incredible Strong and Convince for Landing Page

The landing or sales page for your product needs to be incredibly strong and convincing because this is where all of your affiliates are going to send their traffic to. Once they've done this, the rest is up to you or more specifically your landing page.

Consequently, it helps to know how to make a landing page which will overwhelm your visitor. Luckily, there is an effective formula which most marketers follow because it works so well, so let's talk about how to make a landing page for your product right now.

One format which converts very well and consequently gets used frequently by marketers online in all different niches is to create one long sales letter.

There are several elements which you want to incorporate onto your sales letter/landing page:

Headline

An attention grabbing headline is job number one. People have extremely short attention spans, so your headline should pull them in right away, otherwise you've lost them forever. You can do a lot of things with your headline such as addressing your reader's problem while offering the solution in an exciting way with this headline.

Design

The design is a large part of your landing page. This includes the overall design of your site in terms of where and how things are placed and also includes things like using dynamic font styles and colors.

Graphics/Media

Solely using text won't engage your reader; you need images and possibly video to engage your reader. A lot of landing pages use a persuasive video above the fold in combination with a great headline as a truly effective way to kick off their landing page.

Testimonials

The Federal Trade Commission and certain affiliate networks have changed their regulations about what passes for an acceptable testimonial, so make sure that every testimonial which you use can be backed up. That being said, testimonials are still an effective way to assuage your reader of their doubts about your product after they see other people have given their approval.

Call to Action

A strong call to action is essential in convincing your reader to take your desired action which in this case is purchasing your product.

Your Background

Don't forget to include your credentials if you have any which vouch for your experience. If you've written a book on a medical problem and you've got some kind of certified background in medicine, you'll want to make that very clear from the start of your landing page as this will give you more credibility and even put some people's minds at ease about purchasing your product if they were on the fence.

If you don't have official credentials, then make sure to explain your story about how you were once a long time sufferer of the same problem which your reader is currently experiencing before you took it into your own hands and found the solution (found in the book). Putting yourself in the same place as your reader creates empathy for you and is a good way to get them to relate to you and get them on your side early. This is one of my many sales page copywriting tips which you should use when designing the your landing page.

Sell on eBay Involves Honing Your Copywriting Skills

Learning how to sell on eBay involves honing your copywriting skills. You must know how to write articles and other forms of online content that aim to increase your eBay eBook sales. A good copywriter is one who can easily convert his readers into buying customers. In short, in order to make money on eBay, you need to be a good copywriter.

If you are not writing the content yourself, at least find someone who knows the tricks of copywriting. Always remember that online shoppers have specific needs. They need information to convince them that a product is helpful or valuable to them. It's your job as the copywriter to effectively present and provide to them this information.

Listed below are the most important aspects of a good sales copy. When writing sales pages, always see to it that they contain these important parts.

Headline.

A great headline can do wonders for your eBook sales. You should make use of unique and catchy titles. And never make your headlines too generic. A good sales page headline is neither too short nor too long. When somebody reads your headline, he or she should be able to identify what the copy is about and what it is offering. Give the reader a quick idea on what the eBook has in store for him. Furthermore, it's always a good idea to include a descriptive sub-headline just below the main headline. This sub-headline should build more interest in the reader.

Guarantee.

Offering a guarantee is a must if you are trying to make money on eBay by selling eBooks. There are two main types of guarantees that you can offer on a sales page - the guarantee that the customer will truly find valuable content in your eBook and the guarantee that you will give back the customer's money if he/she finds the eBook unhelpful. It's much easier for people to buy products if there are guarantees involved. For instance, if you are selling an eBook with a full money-back guarantee, people have this feeling that they have nothing to lose in purchasing your eBook since they can receive a full refund in case they find the eBook unworthy.

Bonus.

So you want to know how to sell on eBay? Then mastering the "bonus concept" is one thing you should do. Your eBay eBook sales can go through the roof if you offer bonuses that fully complement your eBook. Online shoppers love bonuses. They are more likely to whip out their wallets if there is a bonus attached to a product.

Testimonials.

Testimonials from satisfied customers provide proof that your eBook really is valuable. In most cases, these testimonials should go at the bottom of the sales page. Well, you can be more creative and place these testimonials anywhere on the sales page. The more positive testimonials you get, the more you can make money on eBay.

We repeat, to fully learn how to sell on eBay, you should hone your copywriting skills. A well-written sales page containing the important parts discussed above can significantly grow your eBook sales on eBay.

How Do Search Engines Work?

What we refer to today as a search engine is a more complex search portal. Search portals are generally synonymous with gateway, for a World Wide Web site that is or proposes to be a major starting site for users when they get connected to the Web and need to find information. There are portals of a generalised nature and specialized or niche portals. Some major general portals include Google, Yahoo, Excite, Netscape, Lycos, CNET, Microsoft Network.
Here, I will examine the typical composition of a search engine results page (SERP). Every search portal delivers results from different data sources. The different ways in which each search portal prepares and serves these information to the users is what gives each portal its own unique identity.

The SEO strategy you adopt for your site can be affected by changes to the way a major search portal presents its search results.

A typical search engine results page is comprised of three major components: spider-based (organic) listing, sponsored listings, and directory listings. Not all SERPs contain all three components, and some portals incorporate additional data sources depending on the search term used.

1. Spider-based (Organic) Listings

Spider based results are featured as the primary element of SERPs by most search portals. These listings are referred to as editorial, free, natural, or organic. For consistency, I will be referring to spider-based listings as organic listing throughout the rest of this article.

Each spider based engine uses its own unique algorithm, or formula to determine the order of search results. The databases that power organic search results primarily contain pages that are found by web crawling spiders. Some search providers offer paid inclusion and trusted feed programs that guarantee the inclusion of certain pages in the database.

Organic search listings are the primary focus for search engine marketers and consultants, but they are not the only focus. The continued use of pay-per-click is essential to a well rounded strategy. It paramount to know that most of today's search portals do not operate their own spider-based search engine; instead they acquire results from one of the major search players like Google and Yahoo. There are many search portals in the market, but only a handful operate crawling search engines. The following major search portals operate their own spiders, Google, Yahoo, Ask and MSN.

2. Sponsored (Pay-per-click) Listings

It costs alot of money to run a search portal. Spider based engines operate an extremely high expense, and expense that most can't afford. Portals that don't operate their own spider based search engines must always pay to obtain spider search results from portals that does. Today, even the smallest size search portal can generate revenue through sponsored listings. Sponsored listings is simply where a company has paid to have their site prominently listed when someone searches for certain words or phrases. Sponsored listings is used primarily used as their primary search results by Meta search engines.

Sponsored listings in addition to helping search portal stay afloat, provide an excellent complement to organic search engines by connecting searchers with advertisers whose sites might not otherwise appear in the search results.

Majority of portals do not operate their own pay-per-click advertising service. They instead show sponsored results from one or more partners and earn a percentage of those advertisers' fees. The major PPC providers are Google AdWords, Yahoo Search Marketing and Microsoft's adCentre.

The PPC advertising model is simple. Advertisers place bids against specific search terms. Advertisers' ads are returned with the search results, when searchers click on one of those words or terms. Advertisers are charged per click amount they bid for those terms each time searchers click on those words or terms.

Different ranking methods are used by different PPC providers to rank their sponsored listings. These methods start by advertisers bidding against each other to have their ads appear alongside the results returned for various search terms' but each method has its own broad matching options to allow a single bid to cover multiple search terms.

PPC ranking systems are no longer as simple as allocating the highest positions to the highest bidders.Google's methodology, combines the click through rate of an advertiser's listing (that is, the number of clicks divided by the number of times the sponsored listing is displayed) with the advertiser's bid in assessing where the PPC advertisement will be located. One of the reasons why Google has gained popularity significantly is, that its method tends to optimise the revenue generated per search.

3. Directory Listings

Directory originate from human edited web directories, such as Look Smart, The Open Directory, and the Yahoo Directory. Most search portals offer directory results as an optional search, thereby requiring the user to click to see them. Search portals have lately reduced their emphasis on directory listings, as quality of organic search results improved.

However, the importance of directory listings has not diminished in obtaining organic engines rankings.

Search Engine Optimisation

It is vital to note that there are two steps involved in getting a web page into search results pages.
  1. Getting in the search index.
  2. Getting the web page to the top of the final indexed results before it is presented to the searcher.
The first step is relatively easy to accomplish. You need to let the spiders know that your new web pages exists and how to find them. This can be easily be achieved by pointing to the new page from an already indexed page. Some search providers provide an option for a new URL to be manually submitted for inclusion into their index.

Achieving step 2 successfully is the most difficult. Bulk of Search Engine Optimization tasks is centered around this. Search engines spend some incredible amount of time and effort on making their algorithms find find the best ways to effectively rank sites. According to the Search Engine leader Google, there are in excess of 200 factors that determine the rank of a web page in the SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages).

SEO is the process of making changes to your web pages to conform to Search Engines standards in order to rank at the top of Search Engine Results for related keywords that your site optimised for.

What Do Search Engines Look For?

Before delving into the specifics of SEO, let me first explain what search engines really want.

Search Engines have a goal of been able to fulfill the search needs of its users by providing with highly targeted relevant information. Google makes most of its money from selling advertisements that are served along with regular search results. Google is able to do this because it is the market leader and the most popular search engine in the world.Google is widely used because it provides users with the relevant results from their searches.

What Search Engines Don't Like

It is extremely important to have a sound knowledge of what search engines don't want in order to succeed in your SEO campaign. The lack of this knowledge may mean that, your perfectly optimized site may not be indexed and could even be banned. Therefore, when you learn about factors that influence search engine rankings, you should also learn which tactics to avoid.

Spam

Search providers hate tactics intended to fool them into awarding high rankings to irrelevant pages. These tactics are called "spam." They strive to provide the most relevant results to their users, but spam clutters their indices with irrelevant information.

Some website owners create spam after they have learned which criteria spiders use to rank pages. For example, they give high scores to pages filled with keywords. This is termed as keyword stuffing. Website owners and Webmasters came up with a way to add more keywords without sacrificing a site's appearance. Invisible text are used ( the background and the text are the same colour, so the text is not seen by the visitors). Previously, robots that indexed invisible keywords ranked those sites higher for keyword frequency and weight.

Spiders are now familiar with this technique and class it as spam. The use of invisible text can get your site banned from most leading engines.

The following techniques are usually considered spam by major search engines:
  • Meta refresh tags
  • Invisible text and overuse of tiny text
  • Irrelevant keywords in the title and meta tags
  • Excessive repetition of keywords (classed as keyword stuffing)
  • Overuse of mirror sites (same sites that point to different URLs)
  • Submitting too many pages in one day
  • Identical or nearly identical pages
  • Submitting to an inappropriate category (for directories)
  • Link farms
  • Frames, dynamic content and Flash intros.
Although search engines won't penalize you for the use of frames, dynamic content and multimedia files, they will have difficulty indexing such pages.

Recently, some engines started to index dynamic content. However, most search engines are still unable to index multimedia and dynamic pages, and those that are, don't index all of them. Here's a list of files that search engines don't index:
  • Text in graphics (use ALT tags)
  • Pages that require registration, cookies or passwords
  • XML
  • Java applets
  • Acrobat files (PDF), except Google
  • Dynamic content (URLs with "?" in them), except Google, AltaVista, FAST and Inktomi
  • Multimedia files (Flash, Shock wave, streaming video)
Build Workaround Pages to Avoid Indexing Problems

If your site consists largely of files that search engines don't index, create workaround pages. Workaround pages should contain the most important information about your products or services. Workaround pages should be optimized just like doorway pages.

Search engines will index workaround pages even if they can't index the rest of a site. Always link to these pages from your site map to make sure search engines can spider them, and submit workaround pages rather than non-optimized pages.

Conclusion

SEO Best Practices to Consider

There are tried and tested SEO tactics that you can use to ensure your site is successfully crawled, indexed, and positioned in the major search engine results pages. Though SEO tactics evolve with the technologies used to render Web sites, certain fundamentals remain constant.

How can you tell if your site adheres to current SEO best practices? You should start by providing honest answers to the following questions.

The 10 Commandments For a Successful Online Business Entrepreneurs

Too many people join and start an online home based business and fail because they lack the knowledge needed to make money online. Valuable time is wasted trying to figure what works and what doesn't work. Here are 10 items, commandments if you will, that have been proven to work and that all successful online home based business entrepreneurs have followed to generate true residual income.

1.) Shall not lie
No one likes a liar, nor will people follow a liar. Liars are always exposed and once that happens, their credibility is shot. Good luck building a successful business with zero credibility. Be honest, truthful, and upfront with the people you interact with. Integrity is a must.

2.) Shall be confident
What do all leaders have in common? They are confident in their actions. Confidence attracts people and a leader has many followers. But confidence doesn't always mean you have the answer; a person can be very confident in answering a question, "I don't know".

3.) Shall provide solutions to peoples problems
Are you giving someone a hammer when they need a screwdriver? Or are you giving a person the tools he or she needs to solve his or her problem? The second part to that is do they know it? Provide solutions and do not beat around the bush - make sure the customer knows that you are providing a solution to their problem.

4.) Shall be informed
You can never position yourself as an expert if you are not educated in what you are doing. The key to this commandment is to develop a habit of learning..., something you practice every day. Read books, take training courses, listen to CDs but do something to further your knowledge. You will never have the answer to everything but if you don't have the answer to anything, it will be easy to see why you are failing.

5.) Shall adapt to new technology
Web 2.0 is here. Are you utilizing it or are you still walking around the mall for hours on end trying to generate leads? There is so much new technology out there you can use to further your business; Google Adwords, Squidoo, YouTube, and many many more. Have you even scratched the surface yet? Even better, there are people out there who are very capable of taking a totally new person and making them 'fluent' in these cutting edge methods.

6.) Shall set realistic and attainable goals
Every successful person has set goals; it is how one determines if they are progressing in their business. Make sure they are attainable and once they have been reached, set new goals. A successful person never stops setting goals.

7.) Shall learn the art of duplication
Time is money, right? We have heard it before and we all know that the huge benefit of online based businesses is the ability to generate money outside of time. True residual income comes from duplication. Understand that and you are well on your way to being successful.

8.) Shall implement effective marketing techniques
This is similar to Commandment #5 as these techniques usually use new technology, but the fact is the majority of people do not know how to effectively market their idea. You can use Google Adwords, YouTube, Facebook, etc, or the multitude of other marketing techniques out there, but you need to know how to do it effectively; otherwise you are just wasting your time and continuing down the path of failure.

9.) Shall be consistent in their actions
We hear it all the time; be consistent in what you do to build your business. Set up a routine to make it easier. Failing to be consistent - not doing so will result in just that, failure.

10.) Shall be a student and expert in copywriting
Copywriting is by far the most important concept you will need to master. Ask yourself this, "Why did you start reading this article I wrote?" Once you answer that, you have become a student of copywriting - now it is time to become an expert.

Structuring Your Copy Letter To Return Full Circle

We are going to go step-by-step on the order of your sales copy letter.

1. Focus on the reader - make an important promise early on that tells the reader what's in it for them. Never allow your prospects to question why they are paying attention.

2. Each separate part of your copy should have a main idea that is something intriguing that captures your prospects attention immediately. You want to excite the reader. Don't digress, and don't ramble. Stay laser focused.

3. Be ultra - specific in your assertions, and always make sure to give reasons why. General statements that are not supported by facts cause a reader's thoughts to become defensive.

4. Demonstrate large amounts of credibility, using statistics, expert references and, most importantly, testimonials. Be authoritative - if you're not an existing expert on a subject, you had better have done your research and know significantly more than your reader.

5. After building your credibility and authority, make sure you get back to the most important person around the reader. What's STILL in it for him? Restate the hook and the promise that got readers engaged in the first place.

Once you have this outline down pat, you must extract true benefits. For example, if you sell massage chairs, a feature may be a vibrating back. The benefit would be that it relieves you of any future back pain.

1. Make a list of every feature of your product or service.
2. Ask yourself why each feature is included in the first place.
3. Take the "why" and ask "how" does this connect with the prospect's desires?
4. Get to the absolute root of what's in it for the prospect at an emotional level.

Make an Offer

It's sickening to see so many companies and marketers try to gain business online, without ever making a compelling offer. There's no apparent reason why someone should select you from the overcrowded field, because often you've made no express offer at all.

So many websites assume that a visitor will get the obvious value that the owner knows he provides. Value is communicated through offers; however, those offers must be communicated quickly. Consider the way you surf for a second, and ask yourself - why would my target audience be any different?

In the context of direct-response copywriting, an offer is a call to action. For bloggers, you may want someone to subscribe, bookmark you, make comments or utilize your information resources (that double as sales tools.)

So to sum everything up, returning full circle to your original promise and demonstrate how you've fulfilled it. One of the most repeated rules of compelling copy is to stress benefits, not features. In other words, identify the underlying benefit that each feature of a product or service provides to the prospect, because that's what will prompt the purchase.

3 Tips That Will Reduce and Minimize Product's Failure Rate

For any and every reason, any product that you put out there should undoubtedly be of high quality. This serves in more ways than you can imagine, for instance, you earn your customer's credibility, which in my opinion is the greatest asset for your business. Good and high quality products attract loyal traffic to your websites, incredible search criteria from search engines and of course earn you stable income. These are benefits that any business owner would like to enjoy. So, what are some of the ways that you can make your product right for your customers? Let's examine 3 tips that will minimize your product's failure rate.

1. Carry out a thorough Research for your Product

Believe it or not this stage sets the pace for which your product will take. In majority of the business adventures, it is the make or break point for your product. Cruising hurriedly through this stage is damning your product before it starts. Gathering exhaustive information on and from your target market and taking the time to analyze and giving accurate predictions based on the information you gathered gives you good mileage when your product hits the market.

Conclusive deductions from your findings will help you evade obvious pitfalls as well as anticipate unseen hurdles. Another important factor is to study what your competitors are offering so that you can create an edge for your product. They say "failing to plan is planning to fail". Take time to gather useful information to help you plan for your products' success.

2. Never Compromise on Quality

A lot of us do not realize this but your product is a direct representation of who you are and your business image. Poor quality and substandard products create the same image about you and your business to your customers. This will only produce distrust and a tarnished name from your customers. You will not even have a chance to explain your product to them. No business owner wants this.

Take time and invest in an impressive and professional web design. This tells your visitor that you are genuine and trust worthy. Use friendly text fonts and keep your information interesting to keep your visitor engaged. Lay out your instructions in an easy to read and follow manner. Ensure that your links are working and proofread your information. It should be free of spelling and grammar errors. Exhaustively describe your product and include valid contacts addresses incase customers need to ask questions or even contact a real person to confirm that you are for real.

3. Employ Strategic Marketing Avenues

After you have your product in best shape and the systems to support it in place, it's time to release it to your customers. This can be your make or break for the success of your product. Poor and un-strategic marketing will void all your efforts for creating the product. Plus your product idea can be hacked and brilliantly presented by someone else. Ensure that you have a strategy for every marketing avenue that you intend to employ. Target the largest audience possible and achieve the greatest impact possible. You may not have another opportunity to make a lasting impression.

These three tips may seem obvious but they are not so easy to implement. They will require persistent and dedicated effort on your part to bring them to realize their potential. It is recommended to go through each step exhaustively coupled with all the information you can gather. Product failure is not only a frustrating disappointment but a waste of time. Give your best the first time.

How The Search Engine Marketing Help Your Business

Search Engine Marketing (SEM), is the process of attracting traffic through many of the big search engines like Google and Yahoo. In some respects, SEM is a blend of both SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and PPC (Pay Per Click). SEM can be a huge benefit to your organization if done well, including a positive return on investment, giving your business increased prominence online, a potential to improve lead generation, exposing your distinct brand to customers, and ultimately leading to an increase in sales and revenue.

As previously mentioned, SEM will need to consider both SEO and PPC to receive the best end result, which is top billing in the search engines. SEO aims for building content and sites that naturally rank in the search engines through other sites "voting" for them and considering their content worthy of a top spot. PPC, on the other hand, is a fast way into the search engines and directories.
SEM must blend both strategies, by incorporating them in a way that encourages return visits and unique visits from end users and continued quality content that will ultimately float you to the top of the desired results page.

PPC allows you to rank ads immediately near the top of the search results but come with a risk because you are hoping to attract customers by bidding on the price of related keywords that will bring them to your business for an eventual conversion or transaction. It's important to choose the proper keywords or else you risk advertising yourself for an audience that is not interested in your offerings. Beginners in search engine marketing might want to consult with an experienced service that can advise them appropriately.

If you are new to SEM, be sure to track your website traffic and analyze the type of visitors and return visitors, and which ones are converting to paying customers. In the same respect, you can track the generation of leads and SEM will help you determine how many conversions have taken place. By evaluating the trends, you can see whether you are getting the best bang for your buck or if it's time to move onto different PPC programs or using different keywords to attract customers. All in all, the benefits to your business can be astronomical if you keep a close eye on trends and constantly tweak your campaigns.

Besides SEM, offline marketing is another aspect of marketing to be concerned with. Offline marketing is considered all other types of marketing that do not include online searches or advertising for the material you are targeting. With offline marketing, you are targeting a wide audience in the hope that a few will show interest in your advertisement and convert into a buyer. This approach is usually more expensive and does not allow for immediate revision if necessary.
Even with beginners search engine marketing, you know that the end user has already been pre-screened by taking the time to type in the keywords that direct them to your business or service. SEM allows for a large number of listings over multiple keyword phrases that can bring in more traffic and conversions.

Search engine marketing for beginners is a wonderful opportunity to state your campaigns in front of the audience that is searching for them. Making sure your campaigns are appropriately targeted is the key to converting versus users just passing by.

About Marketing: How to Strategize The Product Keeping Diverse Cultures in Mind

Marketing is an important function of any Home Based Business. Depending on what niche your business is in, and whether or not you are undertaking online or offline marketing, it is of the utmost importance to consider the culture of the market and country you are targeting. What works in one country may be found to be irrelevant or offensive in another. How you talk to Entrepreneurs in different cultures can make or break your business.

Marketing across cultures or international marketing refers to promoting your products in different countries. It is the marketing of your product marketed by different companies overseas or in different countries across the globe. There are key factors that involve representing your product in a separate or a unique environment that is completely dissimilar to your society or culture. Cultural difference has a huge impact on the marketing strategy as each nation or culture is almost poles apart from each other.

The key factors are: identification, targeting the society, entry mode selections, marketing mix and strategic decisions to compete in internationals boundaries. The topics that need to be covered before the product is even launched are: economic and political legal environment, social-cultural environment, a complete marketing research of the region, so as to know what works here and what doesn’t. International segmentation and position also have to be considered so as to decide which segment or part of the society would be interested in the product, age groups, professional groups etc. International product strategy, explains how to strategize the product keeping diverse cultures in mind so as to know how to advertise it.

Pricing strategy also has to be kept in mind as there is a huge monetary difference between currencies worldwide. What can be priced in dollars cannot be bought in rupees easily. Distribution strategies, the geological situation of the country also has to be kept in mind. Communications strategy is highly essential i.e. to be able to communicate overseas and to convey the message to the consumer in a way that can be understandable. Language barriers are difficult issues that need to be resolved. And last but not the least, the future of marketing in that region for that specific product. To be able to analyze how far and how successful the product can be in that particular region.

After the decision to invest has been made, the mode of business has to be decided. It can be divided into exporting, joint ventures or direct investment. Exporting is where you send the product to a different region but manufacture it in your own. Direct Investment includes dividing the major issues of business, like, manufacturing the products yourself and assembling them in another nation. Joint ventures would be a combined effort between two or more companies internationally.

The problems faced are the most difficult to solve because what a buyer would buy a product for in USA, a buyer in Singapore for example would not buy the same product for the same reasons. Therefore the cultural difference is a very vast and complicated issue.

To solve the basic problems in marketing across cultures, a new paradigm has been defined. The first one is to recognize. This means that even if we know there is a cultural difference it doesn’t mean that we can recognize it. The first step therefore is to recognize that there is a vast difference and we have to accept it.

The second step is to respect. This means that there is no right or wrong. Where you come from and where you are, are two different entities and they have to be respected. So to be able to respect a nation and its laws and rules is very important. The last one is reconcile. This means that there will always be a difference in opinion between the buyer and the seller and the marketer must be able to resolve or reconcile it every time.

Tips for Internet Marketing : 5 Things Should Know About Advertising

Network marketing has come of age. One of the pitfalls of not getting the best network marketing online training is you may end up confusing marketing with advertising and vice-versa. However, these are two different concepts. For you to effectively promote or sell a product and service, you should have a good understanding of both. This article lists what you should know about advertising in relation to marketing.

1.   Advertising Is Not Marketing

Advertising is just a part of marketing. An analogy of this is to think of advertising as a slice of a bigger cake which is marketing. Marketing involves all stages of conceptualizing a brand from conducting the initial research, design, advertising, to completion of the sale. While marketing is a marathon of various processes, advertising is merely promoting a product and service through a message that is transmitted across different media.

2.   Advertising Is Important

Through advertising, people will know about your product or service. You can reach your potential customers, whoever and wherever they are by placing your ads or messages on various media like television, snail mail, newspapers, websites, emails, radio, magazines, SMS messaging, fliers, billboards, and so forth. Currently, television has the widest reach. But with the number of Internet users increasing everyday, Internet is seen to overtake TV in the future.

3.   Advertising Is the Most Expensive Part of Marketing

Advertising is the most costly component as it entails planning what kind of ads you’ll use, where to place it, when and how many times will it appear as well as developing strategies to target your specific market.

4.   Advertising Should Work Collectively with The Other Parts of Marketing

Marketing is the bridge that connects the company to consumers. Its other elements include product research, designing, pricing, and sales. It also encompasses media planning, customer satisfaction, customer support, and others. To have a successful marketing campaign, advertising should work well on its own but also alongside the other mentioned components. This way, the company’s larger goals like selling a brand or creating a good reputation in the market can be achieved.

It’s crucial therefore to understand how the other aspects of marketing operate. Product research for instance requires the longest period since it necessitates gathering and analyzing data on how people behave toward the product. This can take hours or even days. Like developing advertising, designing a product also demands a lot of time. Releasing advertisements and selling are the only ones that can be executed in lesser time.

5.   Big Advertising Campaigns are Really Just for The Big Guns

One major mistake of marketers handling small to medium enterprises is that they try to duplicate the advertising strategies of large companies. But this won’t work, not only because of the cost (which small businesses can’t afford) but also because a company should establish its reputation first. For example, a lot of business owners are so finicky with their logo designs believing that a nice easy-to-recall logo on their ads will convince consumers to buy their products. This is not true. Logos work only because of a company’s reputation. A logo represents the values of the company which are the reasons people patronize them in the first place.

Instead of allocating a huge chunk of your budget in branding your product, you should channel that money into educating your customers about what you can offer. You should let them know that you can provide real solutions, meet their expectations and you’re the best in what you do. And then induce them to act on that message. It’s only by being smart and aggressive in your marketing that you’ll grow your business. After you’ve proven that you’re reliable and have expanded your business, then that’s the only time you can effectively use the large more costly advertisements.

Tips for Internet Marketing : The Importance of Leadership in Internet Business

There are certain skills you typically need to be in an executive-level position, and they are all helpful in introducing your online business. Although there are big gaps between small home based business and large corporations the principles of business operation and management are similar. Obviously the focus on products or services, and client base has different strategies, but anyone with a solid experience in entrepreneurship has the potential to be very successful.

Here are common executive level skills specifically matching any online business.

Leadership Skills

Executives are regarded as leaders in their companies, and they are literally responsible for motivating and managing their employees to accomplish their assigned tasks and meet desired objectives. Although an online business only comprises of the owner, the field itself is searching further for new executives. A leader is an entrepreneur who assists other people in becoming successful. So, anyone who has the characteristics of being a leader can potentially become a reliable business executive who guides, teaches, and leads other business people.

Organizational Skills

Any prolific executive must have the ability to control a busy regular schedule and an infinite to-do list. This kind of skill is more vital in a network marketing business, as many businessmen work solely in isolated surroundings. Being a great manager of all tasks is important for an online business.

Sales and Marketing Skills

While it may sound obvious that marketing and sales skills are important components of every online business, many entrepreneurs regard themselves as being unprepared for their new endeavour. Sometimes it is because of lack of familiarity with their product. In other instances, it can be lack of awareness about the process itself. Excluding a person’s point of view, however, a marketing and sales background is a great base for a successful business online.

Sales and marketing experts recognize how to perceive and enhance powerful messages that invite future customers to a business opportunity. Moreover, anyone with prominent sales experience understands how to deal with clients and prospects and to close a deal process. Although technical terms for this may be different, the basic principles implemented are similar. So, anyone with strong background in skyrocketing sales and marketing is highly qualified to build his internet business.

Technology and Computer Skills

Since the internet is where your business is carried out, it is essential to embark on continuous education in computers and associated technologies. This solid understanding of computer-related matters will boost your success rate. However internet business people who do not possess sufficient knowledge in this aspect may select to hire experts for particular technical work. Luckily there are more budget friendly methods out for the newbie today than ever before. Do not be demoralized if you are not computer savvy. While it is true that an entrepreneur who already has these skills has an edge, your skills can still be upgraded through continuous education and little investment from outsourcing.

Motivational Skills

There are two motivational skills you need to have in order to succeed in an online business—team motivation and self-motivation. Because a virtual business owner works alone, commonly from a home environment, a great amount of self-motivation is needed to be successful. By managing your own motivational levels on a daily basis you will stay in focus and dedicated to the tasks at hand.

Building a big business requires great motivational skills. While it is true that a virtual business opportunity is basic without some of the challenges of a bricks and mortar business, this does not necessarily mean that it will be easy. Individuals often get demoralized and unfocused when they don’t see immediate results.

The productive entrepreneur concentrates on creating a dynamic business plan. He must provide the motivational support for himself that is required to help stay focused on becoming successful.

Self-Discipline Skill

The most successful businessmen get to the top by putting in a huge amount of self-discipline and hard work in their business. Self-discipline is a major component of any online business. Since online business owners work at home alone, they must have discipline to concentrate on their tasks. They must avoid being sidetracked by the numerous distractions they have in their lives.

Furthermore to be a successful online entrepreneur, you will need a continuous, dedicated effort because there will always be ups and downs as the business grows, and good discipline is vital to keep focused and dedicated to long term profitability.

When reflecting on your previous experience in your business endeavours bring these to your new online enterprise, it is vital to realise that in spite of the new surroundings the same principles apply. The skills and strengths that you utilized in the past will create similar effects for you tomorrow.
